Fish in The Sky

Good news. I finally have a new book and it's called "Fish in The Sky" and all it's really about is a 14 year old boy living in Iceland and like any other teenager ever he's got problems. First off there is a kind of crude humor that you'd expect from a 13/14 year old, you can use your imagination for that one. As I was saying his dad hasn't been around for years, there is this really cute girl he likes but she just thinks he's weird and doesn't like him after his first encounter with her, and thirdly so far his 17 or so cousin, Gertrude, is moving in with him after her mother was institutionalized. Oh and her room is within his own room, so that just adds insult to injury for him.
Other than just calling him just another kid the author doesn't describe him much yet, hopefully he will. The book also really focuses around teenage humor and around a growing boys mind, like I said you get what I mean. It isn't too bad to the point where it isn't humorous at all, and it isn't too soft of humor so it's pretty much in a sweet spot. Scratch that, a little overly weird but that's not the point. That helps though, I say this because this is the first book in a while that I'm enjoying to read; first one in a while that I'll just sit and read for a bit. Now like I said this is a good thing and a bad thing as there are more productive things I could be doing rather than just sitting and reading. Let's just say it's more on the "good" side, yeah? Yeah.
